Yis yis yis! Another missage from Kinny...

Episode 4 of Paul's peregrinations in the land of pulped possums...

Gilly Darby and Keith were brilliant at the Mussel Inn on Sunday night. Gilly still has a tremendous voice and they both brought the house down. Gilly was promoting her latest CD which I bought and Keith found the Kiwi sense of humor - and his musicianship which is often overlooked by his zany humor was excellent doing a serious rendition of 'Two Trees' a self penned serious song about 9/11.

I'm in Nelson at the moment, Wednesday 4, and will be crossing to the North Island Friday.

They have a problem with possums in NZ, there are hundreds squashed on the roads and they are trapping them for leather and wool in Golden Bay area, apparently introduced many years ago for the fur trade and have now multiplied to 8 million. Every time I see one it reminds me of Loudon's song 'Dead Skunk'.

BTW the Kiwi's pronounce the e vowel as an i, so Nelson is Nilson and Yes is Yis. Another piece of totally useless information for you all.

Regards PK
