Summer fun with the Oddsods

Celebrate the summer this Sunday with the 'Sods! We're performing at the Pailton Fete between 8 and 10pm, just round the corner from our regular haunt, Monks Kirby. The plan was for us to perform outdoors but while we have so far escaped the floods, there's a good chance of English summer rain that day - so we're playing in the clubhouse!

We're also one the guests for the Bridge III Festival in Napton, Warwickshire on 22 July but we're still awaiting details of times - watch this space!

The following week, the 'Sods are back in Warwick. After a few years' absence form the guest list, we're making a couple of appearances at the Warwick Folk Festival during the weekend of July 27-29. Again, more on this later.

This means of course that we won't be performing at the Denbigh Arms, Monks Kirby in July. Our next 'and friends' session there will be Sunday August 19th (NOT the last Sunday of that particular month).

Good to hear at last Sunday's Denbigh session that quite a few of the regulars are checking the Oddsods website and this blog regularly for updates. Hope you're also checking our MySpace page - we've been getting some great comments there recently!

Have a great summer!

More Soddin' radio....

Keith Wedgebury got busy on the editing machine and came up almost an hour's worth of Oddsoddery at the Denbigh Arms, which was broadcast this Monday on Vic Minett's programme on BBC Coventry and Warks. High quality sound it isn't but it captures the atmosphere of the evening. If the place sounds full - well it was!

See what you think - click here if you dare! This link will only work for seven days. By next Monday it will turn back into a pumpkin.
