Collectors' items

We know what you've been thinking. 'When are those boys going to bring out another album?'

Well we have been talking about it. It's been seven years since we recorded Shenanigans live and released it on our own Karisma label. It was a limited edition and we only have a couple of copies left. Now we've been working on a re-release with a slightly different cover and one or two minor edits. This is also a limited edition which we'll be selling at gigs (and here online) for £10 (plus postage) - watch this space.

However, the album is still the old line-up, although the four tracks that we've made available on our MySpace page have been getting some great comments from people across the globe who have signed up as our friends.

We are hoping to record some brand new tracks later this year - possibly live, possibly studio. We have been approached by one club organiser about performing a set to be recorded on video and released as a DVD - again watch this space!

Meanwhile, we spotted a copy of our first album, Scoundrels and Scallywags, changing hands for a fiver on Ebay. And we learned that a copy of the Amaranth album, featuring Pete Willow and former Oddsods fiddle-player Louisa Davies, was sold for £50 at a charity auction at Warwick Folk Club last month. Just think how much it would have been worth if we'd been there to autograph it!

So - if you don't have an Oddsods CD in your collection - or a copy of Amaranth's or Mick Shaler's solo CD - you could be missing out on a huge investment opportunity!

PS - thanks to the Ride-A-Cock Horse Folk Club in Banbury and the Tump Music Club in Brinklow for two great bookings this month. We had fun and we hope the audiences did too!
